Instructions & Tips
FOR TANGLED OR MATTED FUR, use the detangler side of the CoatHook (the side with the CoatHook logo), where you’ll find a series of three graduated MicroHooks along each tine. Lay the CoatHook on the fur at a low angle, and pull it through the mats, increasing the steepness of the handle’s angle as you go. This should gradually and gently tease mats apart. Repeat until the fur is untangled enough to be combed with the de-shedding side of the CoatHook.
TO DESHED, hold the CoatHook with the logo facing up, and pull it through your pet’s fur in the same kind of motion you’d use with a rake. The tines should reach through the guard coat, and the hooks at the ends of the tines will remove shedding undercoat fur. For some coats, a lower angle is more effective and a steeper angle is less effective. Experiment to find an angle that works best for your pet’s fur.
