Instructions & Tips
FOR TANGLED FUR, use the detangling picks on the top side of the CoatHook (the side with the CoatHook logo), where you’ll find a series of three graduated picks along each tine. Start by holding the handle close to your pet's fur, and lift the handle higher as you pull back. This should gradually and gently tease mats apart by first engaging the smallest picks followed by the larger picks. Repeat until the fur is untangled enough to be combed with the de-shedding side of the CoatHook.
TO DESHED, hold the CoatHook with the logo facing up, and pull it through your pet’s fur in the same kind of motion you’d use with a rake. The tines should reach through the guard coat, and the hooks at the ends of the tines will remove shedding undercoat fur. For some coats, a lower angle is more effective and a steeper angle is less effective. Experiment to find an angle that works best for your pet’s fur.
