$5 of every CoatHook sold from this page goes to NH Kittens, an all-volunteer kitten rescue in New London, New Hampshire.

NH Kittens rescues, rehabilitates, socializes, and finds homes for stray, orphaned, and abandoned kittens.

Kristin Hubbard formed NH Kittens and received its nonprofit status in April 2015 after decades of rescuing animals independently. Her family and friends had for many years encouraged her to become an “official” nonprofit rescue.

Kristin used to live in the south, and she saw the huge kitten and cat overpopulation problem first hand, so when NH Kittens has room in its residence-based shelter and foster-home network, they bring needy kittens north to find homes in New England.

The residential shelter is licensed for 24 cats, and the organization has about a dozen foster homes that give pregnant cats a safe and loving environment in which to give birth and raise their kittens. The kittens are born in a clean, quiet, and safe environment and socialized by the foster family. Once the kittens are weaned, NH Kittens adopts them out to suitable homes, spays the mom cat, and finds a loving adoptive home for her as well.

In addition to foster homes, NH Kittens has over two dozen volunteers who help out at the shelter (feeding, cleaning litter boxes, changing bedding, etc.), help to raise funds, maintain the organization’s website, and manage communications with the public and prospective adopters about the organization.

To date, NH Kittens has saved over 200 kittens and cats.

The organization’s biggest expense is veterinary care, and we hope to help lighten that load with meaningful contributions.

About This Product

The CoatHook gathers and removes shedding undercoat fur from cats, dogs, and rabbits without pulling or cutting the outer layers of fur, the way some pet combs do.

The CoatHook’s long tines reach through the outer layer of fur, and the small hooks at the ends of the tines gently but very effectively gather and remove downy shedding undercoat fur.

A series of graduated hooks along the top of the tines can be used to gently tease out tangled fur.

The CoatHook works really well on dogs that have coats that shed, such as Labs, Collies, Shepherds, and mixed breeds, as well as medium-long to long-haired cats.
